Can a Pirate Token tracker find the Fortnite token?

No. The Pirate Token isn't hidden somewhere on the map. Every chest is a random Pirate Token roll the moment you open it, so no Fortnite token tracker, app or "Fortnite token finder" can point you to one, and Epic calls fake tools a scam. What a Pirate Token tracker can do is count your chests and turn that count into Fortnite token odds. Players also call it the Fortnite token or Fortnite shop token; it's the same item, and this chest counter works the same whatever you call it. That's this Pirate Token tracker: tap +1 chest while you play.

How many chests have you opened in Fortnite?

Fortnite keeps its own tally of the chests you open while hunting the Fortnite token, so you can start this Pirate Token tracker from your real number instead of zero:

  1. From the main screen, open the Quests tab.
  2. Scroll down the list on the left to the Treasure Hunt section.
  3. It shows how many chests you've opened this mini-season, which is every roll you've had at the Pirate Token. Type that number into Copy from the game above.

The same chest milestones also give bonus XP while you hunt the Pirate Token, according to Beebom's guide.

What does your chest count mean for your Pirate Token odds?

Epic has never published the Pirate Token drop rate, and the two estimates in circulation are about 350× apart, so the Fortnite token tracker shows both side by side:

Chests that countAt 1 in 700,000At 1 in 2,000
1000.014%4.9%
5000.071%22%
1,0000.14%39%
2,0000.29%63%
5,0000.71%92%
20,0002.8%>99.99%

1 in 700,000 is the Fortnite token figure most guides quote (Insider Gaming, Beebom). 1 in 2,000 is dataminer Blortzen's estimate reported by VICE: about 1% of chests give a treasure reward, about 10% of those are Supreme, split between the Pirate Token and Gold A$AP Rocky. Neither Fortnite token drop rate is confirmed by Epic.

Whichever Fortnite token estimate is right, a chest has no memory. Your 1,000th chest has the same Pirate Token chance as your first, so a long dry streak doesn't mean a Pirate Token is "due". The count only tells you how many Pirate Token rolls you've taken. To compare play styles or plan a whole season, use the Pirate Token odds calculator.

How do you track Pirate Token odds as a squad?

Guides report that if anyone in your duo, trio or squad finds the Pirate Token, everyone in the group gets the Fortnite token, random fill teammates included (GamesRadar). So every chest your party opens is a Fortnite token roll for you. Turn on Count my party's chests and pick your party size: the Pirate Token tracker multiplies your count by the number of players, which assumes your teammates open about as many chests as you do. If one of you tracks for the whole squad, set it to Solo and count everyone's chests instead.

Is there a Pirate Token finder, locator or compass?

No. Videos and sites promising a Pirate Token finder, a Fortnite token compass trick or a "token generator" are either edits or scams. Epic's Fortnite Status account answered the Fortnite token tool sellers directly on Nov 3:

"Buying an account or using fake tools is a scam. This is just like any of the chests in Battle Royale, so every player has an equal opportunity to find Pirate Shop Access."

Pirate Token and Fortnite token tracker questions

Does the Fortnite token tracker save my count?

Yes, in this browser only (local storage). Your Pirate Token count isn't sent to us or anyone else. A different device or a private window starts from zero, so use "Copy from the game" to catch up.

Does opening more chests raise my Pirate Token chance on the next one?

No. Each chest is a fresh roll at the Fortnite token. More chests only means more Fortnite token rolls in total, which is what the percentages above add up.

What do I do if I find the Pirate Token?

You don't have to activate the Pirate Token right away: the 14 days start when you press Activate. See when to activate the Pirate Token and what it lets you claim.

Is there a Fortnite token tracker app?

Not an official one. Fortnite's own Quests tab counts your chests, and this page is a free Fortnite token tracker in your browser: no app, no login. Be wary of any Fortnite token tracker app that asks for your Epic account; Epic calls fake tools a scam.

How many chests does it take to get the Fortnite token?

There's no fixed number. For an even chance you'd need about 1,400 chests at 1 in 2,000, or about 485,000 at 1 in 700,000. Some players found the Pirate Token in their first games, others after thousands of chests.

Does the Pirate Token tracker work on mobile?

Yes. It's a normal web page, so it works on phones, tablets and PCs. Keep the Pirate Token tracker open on your phone while you play.
