When to Activate Pirate Shop Access: 2026 & 2027 Windows
Short answer
Each Pirate Token gives you two separate 14-day windows: one to use in 2026, one in 2027. The 14 days start when you press Activate Now, not when the token drops. Activate the 2026 window by Dec 15, 2026, 7 PM ET. If you already have a token, the shop update on Nov 5 at 7 PM ET is a strong starting point: 14 days from there cover every collab Epic has announced for this season, from A$AP Rocky to Cap'n Hatsune Miku.

Both windows come from the same drop and are activated separately (Fortnite Tracker, Beebom). Missing the 2026 deadline reportedly costs you only the 2026 window. Timesaver cites TechWiser saying you keep 2027.
Four timing rules
- Start right after a shop update. The Item Shop resets at 00:00 UTC, which is 7 PM ET in November (Timesaver). Starting just after a reset means your first day is a full shop.
- Point the window at what you want. The shop rotates, and you can only claim what's in it while your 14 days run. Fortnite Tracker and VICE both say you can wait for the items you want before activating.
- Plan your one Sidekick. You can take only one Sidekick you don't already own (Dexerto, FRVR, TheGamer). If you want Chopper, make sure Nov 7 is inside your window.
- Don't cut it close. Start by Dec 1, 7 PM ET to get all 14 days before the Dec 15 deadline. Timesaver's advice is to follow the deadline shown on your token, and nobody has confirmed a late window runs past it.
How to activate
- Open the Item Shop.
- Select Plunder the Item Shop in the bottom-right corner (Beebom).
- Press Activate Now. Your 14 days start immediately.

Does the 14-day timer start when you find the token?
No. It starts when you press Activate Now, so you can wait for the items you want.
When is the best time to activate Pirate Shop Access?

What happens if you miss the 2026 deadline?
Timesaver, citing TechWiser, reports you lose only the 2026 activation and keep 2027.
When can you use the 2027 Pirate Shop Access?
From Jan 1 to Dec 15, 2027, according to Beebom, Dexerto and FRVR. TheGamer says all of 2027.
