What is a Fortnite Power Hour?
A Fortnite Power Hour is a short window, usually one or two hours, when Epic switches on special match rules: everyone may drop with a certain item, and some Sprites or loot become much more common. Power Hours started in Blitz Royale in Chapter 6 Season 3 and came to Battle Royale in Chapter 6 Season 4 (Fortnite Wiki). Through Chapter 7 the Fortnite Power Hour mostly ran on Saturdays, with a new theme each week. Epic's own help page described them like this:
"Every Saturday at 3:30 PM and 9:30 PM ET, tune into a weekly Power Hour for refreshed gameplay modifiers and a chance to obtain that Sprite variant you've been missing."
Epic Games Player Support, "What are the weekly events for Sprites in Fortnite?"
In the Treasure Hunters mini-season the Saturday sessions are called Treasure Hours: two 2-hour windows, "rounding out each week before a new Captain arrives Sunday," as Fortnite Status put it. The same help page says the modifiers and Sprites change weekly and points players to Epic's social accounts for the details. This page keeps every Fortnite Power Hour time in your zone and the week's boosts in one place.
